Hi Kurt, pretty bird the female Shoveler, lovely background that compliments the bird. The water droplets are great. The wings show a little motion blur, I go both ways on that. One that it shows motion while the rest of the bird is sharp and that a faster shutter speed would have frozen the wings, it appears you had enough ISO for that but I am not familiar with the a9ii. Nice image, thank you for sharing.

Wow, Kurt... Really love this pretty much perfect frame IMHO. The water colors, the droplets, the pose, including the inquisitive glance, the details, colors. TFS

    ps
Sharpness and motion blur right where they need to be... Feels like I'm there...

Sharp where it matters. Really like those colors in the water. The water drops are nice as well.

Background colors and splash are really nice.

I am not too sure about motion blur in the wings...

Kurt, this canvas is gorgeous. Really nice bkg.

The lifting pose, wing position and water drops are great. I just think 1/1600 wasn't quite enough here. If the wings were a little clearer I think this one would be killer.

    Keep em coming...

I echos the other comments. 1/3200 or 1/4000 woulda killed this! Color, pose, and BG are pretty sweet as is though!

great advice above, you nailed the dynamic pose at 1/2300 sec it would have been tack sharp. Fortunately the A9 II high ISO is excellent can easily shoot at ISO 3K without breaking a sweat
