    Meet Miss Purple Fire; one of the locals at Pine Crest Gardens. The lady was painted with a Nikon D70s, using a Nikkor 200mm f/4D macro lens.

    focal length @ 200mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / matrix metering / 1/10sec. - f/40 / ISO @ 400/
    exposure comp @ -1.3EV / white balance @ cloudy / AF Mode @ manual / color mode @sRGB / tone comp @ +1 degrees / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +3 degrees / no speedlight / back lit with a flashlight and a 24" silver disk reflector / tripod assist /

    You are coming up with some neat stuff Gus !!!!

    Like the cropping and strong colors Might only try having a tiny bit of detail in the ur corner for smoother transition !!! Really good !!!

    Out of lurkdom to say this is very nicely done--the color and the way you've used the natural lines in the flower make it stand apart from the crowd.

    I love the flow of lines in this. You are killing me with these beautiful flower portraits, I am going to have to try to find some flowers now....

    Gus, your flower images are really taking on a whole new dimension. Beautiful work again! You've got a lovely composition and your DOF is really nice. There's just nothing I don't like about this.

    Really does look like purple fire, esp. in the thumb. Intriqued me to open and look closer. Good work, Gus!
