OK, I know he's angled away. But it's not often I get a chance to see or photograph a Peregrine Falcon, so this will have to do until I can persuade one to come toward me. Taken yesterday at Brigantine (Forsythe NWR). Cropped out a few man-made elements of Osprey platform.

The image is ok. Agree to keep it till you get the version that comes towards you.

Bill, I feel ya. I'd peel off as many as possible in a scenario like this and would keep it around until a better opp.

But yeah, a slight angle toward ya would've been killer. Bkg has all the makings for a gem.

Ok...aside from the bird's angle mentioned, I really like the composition and colours. I'd be happy to even see one here in Brisbane. I had to go to NSW a few years back to see them screaming through the air at warp 3 speed. Apparently there are some here, but I've yet to see one. No doubt you'll get the killer shot eventually...just go back again to that location. Looking forward to seeing what you get!

Yeah, head angle is a real bummer since the view to the underwing and background are great. So close.....

Exactly right, Artie. It wasn't a strong wind, but just enough of a breeze. I stood there testing my patience, hoping beyond hope that he would break the rules and take off toward me, but after much preening and stretching he finally took flight into the breeze as expected.

Thanks everyone for feeling my pain.
