From endangered to threatened to least concern in the last 10 years... Hope survives...

    ps
This group (nesting colony much larger), maybe 2 dozen birds, has arrived early against timing for previous two years (Jan/Feb). No nest building yet, so still dating (ahem...). Here's hoping the water levels are optimal again this year.

This one is a bit busy for me.
I especially dislike the leaf over the bill.
Good behavior and nice to have highlights in both eyes.
The far bird's head is sharp but the near bird is less sharp due to DOF. I would sharpen that head for sure.

I remember seeing a Wood Stork near St. Petersburgh, Florida in the late 80's (I was just a teen back then!) and reading about them - and learning they were endangered. It is great to see them bounce back as a success story. Looks like potentially more coming too from your image! I agree rather busy - I suppose that is where they are found, but still nice when you can get them in cleaner spots. Good behaviour.
