processing some of the files from spring for a change, I have quite a few skimmer frames from 2011 but they were all against the ocean. I chose this location for the colorful BG's and using long focal length I was able to pull some good details. soft light paid dividends and rendered good details in both whites and blacks with minimal shadows.

Hope you like this frame, wish it had a large fish with the fish's head hanging towards us but they don't skim in the marsh

shot with A9 II 600 GM + 2X TC (1200mm) ISO-1600 f/8 1/3200 sec hand held processed with C1P. Nothing special like a raptor but I hope you like it

Can't fault this one at all Arash (apart from the missing fish of course!). Beautiful pose, light and BD all combine perfectly

Excellent frame with perfect wing position, details and light. I do prefer the colorful background here before an ocean background, but it is nice to have both of course.
The one thing that I would do differently if it was mine is to give it more room all round. I think it is too tight now and the bird is too big in frame. This is a personal preference and I know you usually go for tighter frames than me when the detail and IQ is there.

Love the light, BG, EXP, details and pose (so, what's new). Only wish for a little more top and bottom. Love just as is, though. TFS

    This one rocks.
Love the light, wing position and BG. Whites are a bit grey in some areas,
