    Default Boat-tailed Grackle (m)

I captured this image driving along Joe Overstreet Road in Kenansville, Florida, using the vehicle as a blind. Interesting fact, Boat-tailed Grackles in Florida and the Gulf Coast have brown eyes, everywhere else the eyes are yellow. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

You got all the colors in beautiful soft light... Details, colors and BG all take this over the top for me. TFS

Looks great overall - I just think that the NR on the subject was perhaps a touch too aggressive. Blacks and subtle colours on the grackle look perfect, and I love the gnarly feet curling around the post.

Great look at an underrated bird! The feet and tail are super cool, and I think you can back off the NR to get a bit more texture/detail in the body/head. Graded BG is really nice. Perch isn't perfect, but at least there's no barber wire attached. Psuedo-natural, so to speak. Stoked you took the time to photograph this bird.

Great pose, colors, background. Yes to a tad less NR.
