    Default Prothonotary Warbler

Taken last July. If I remember correctly, it was a little later in the morning but there was some overcast.
Audio was used..I was surprised it worked that late in the season. I did a little digital horticulture, the branch
continued out the right side of the image. I pruned it.

BG works perfect with that bright yellow making it pop. The perfect look back and side view shows all feathers well. Your PP on the yellows also looks spot on to me. In other words, another wonderful and hard to get "twitcher from you. TFS

Great bird and perfect profile pose. Yellows look good overall - perhaps a bit of a hot spot on the forehead. I know how difficult these types of yellows can be (like the reds of a Scarlet Tanager), so good job. I'd be OK with a looser crop, but a great close-up look at this beautiful warbler.

A very beautiful close-up look at this gorgeous warbler.
Thanks for letting us know about your PP and cloning.I love it when people state how and where they manipulated/enhanced their image.
Perfectly parallel pose and nice HA.
A bit looser crop would look really nice but understand that your goal was this close-up view.
    Well done,

Jack, a really nice back view with great look back here. Pose is super.

Deep green bkg works well and perch is fine.

Curious if you ran Denoise on the subject? If so, remember what ratio you used?

I can't remember for sure but I normally use DeNoise AI. I rarely use more than 20% on noise and 10% on sharpening.

Such a striking frame! A bird I've seen many times but always in migration when its really hard to photograph them. My only suggestion is to loosen the crop as it's quite tight now. A very memorable frame regardless.

Ok Jack. It's very pretty, but seemed a bit smoothed to my eye.

    Well done.

Nice pose framing and perch. That yellow really pops.
