    Default Common Gallinule

I was at Lake Morton in Lakeland, Florida sitting photographing ducks in front of me. This Common Gallinule climbed the bank about twelve feet away. I could only fit the head into the frame, with the teleconverter mounted too much lens. Not much for composition but a good test for the camera, lens and teleconverter. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2021 and Neat Image for noise reduction when needed
Slight crop for composition and presentation

Nice close-up Joe. Would be tempted to lighten the eye a tad more? TFS

challenging light angle handled quite well for a beautiful portrait (what's new). Great job with reds. TFS

My favorite part of the image is the small drops of water on the bill - pretty neat. Those reds are appealing too. Too much lens can be a fun problem eh!

Works for me Joe with the gentle focus drift off from the sharp eye

Beautiful look at that beak! Excellent exposure on the bright colors. Would want a bit more head turn towards us to get rid of that shadow on the forehead shield. Do love that blue BG.

Solid portrait here. I like the framing and that blue background. Nice detail.
