    Image captured early this morning at Lake Morton in Lakeland, Florida. There must be fifty or more White Pelicans at Lake Morton, I have never seen as many. Beautiful birds, a treasure to photograph. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 500 F/5.6 VR AF-S ED PF HH
    1/2000 F/5.6 Highlight-weighted Metering EV 0 ISO 160 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 500mm
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2021 and Neat Image for noise reduction
    A small amount of canvas added on the top and left side for composition and presentation

    I agree that white pelicans are great subjects. This one is well exposed, nice angle in frame, wing position, good separation of head from rear wing. Well framed.

    Ditto the positives Joe. The sky contrasts well with the Pelican. Yes, I prefer the second one. Cheers.

    Very nice. Works really well.
    Is this a cropped image if yes, then I would loosen the crop. (This is a personal choice)

    I like the 2nd one better , the near wing is raised more revealing more under wing details good work
