I photographed this yesterday at Blind Pass on Sanibel Island. I used my Sony A100 with a Sigma 50-500 lens. It was shot at 100mm f/9,shutter speed 1/1250 ISO 200 at -0.3ev. Thanks for looking, John
Most of us like to photograph early morning or late afternoon as the light is less harsh at that time of the day. You did well capturing this bird in flight but at the wrong angle, creating deep shadows. I would also remove the dark spots in the water.
