Moments before sunset yesterday, I captured this image in the local grassland preserve. A small flock of SAVS are frequenting this spot for the past week or so dining on abundant dried seed. C&C welcome.

Nicely lit. Great pose and background.

    Geoffrey:

Agree about pose and background, like the colors. The area around the eye seems a bit soft. Might try a bit more selective sharpening. Much of a crop?

    Cheers

Geoffrey, I like taking a simple bird like the Savannah Sparrow and highlighting its beauty.

The light does just that. However, I wonder if perhaps the focus point was on the chest or near the beak? Head just looks a little soft. Perhaps the whole bird could benefit from more sharpening?

Thanks all, and Randy this was just under a 50% crop.
