    Default Dried Milkweed Pod

Been a while since I've posted here, and I thought worth posting this image. Yesterday late afternoon in a local grassland preserve looking for Northern Harriers and Pine Siskin, I needed a meter reading, so I aimed at this dried milkweed plant and captured this image, with dried ragweed in background. C&C welcome.

Nice to see a little something different - and welcome back Geoffrey! Colours and subject matter hold my interest, the seedpod is fascinating me. I am not sure if it was possible to place the ragweed a little more to the right so it did not intersect the milkweed?

I like the subject and the way it is presented. Agree with Jonathan on the intersection of ragweed with the milkweed. Vertical composition could have been better for this one.

I like the light and the toned here. You could have gone in tighter on the milkweed.
