    female kestrel perched. This gal had an eye on a meadowlark so I took the opportunity and got close, it gave chase to the meadowlark at point blank and unfortunately I was helpless with 1200mm of lens and action happens less than 6 yards away....sometimes it is too much lens. But I managed a few perched frames before the action with a mixed color palette


    A9 II 600 GM + 2X (1200mm) f/8 1/4000 sec ISO-1250 hand held processed with C1P.

    Sweet frame of Lady Kestrel. Beautiful light, pose, bg. Good thing you caught her before she caught the Meadowlark; otherwise her talons and beak would have gotten bloody.
