I spotted this Red Grouse near to the side of the track I was driving on....stopped the vehicle nearby, and managed to crawl up nearer...It's not very often you get to see the legs and feet, so I was happy with this pose as the bird kept lookout to several others feeding in the surrounding heather. I managed a few shots, but not the 'take off' I was hoping for..maybe next time.

Superb pose against a wonderful background and perch. Great to see the legs. Excellent work.

Will, this is a treat for me.

The subject possesses lots of rich color, nice detail and the contemplative pose is superb.

Background is fantastic with the gradual rise from pinks/neutrals to blue.

I like the rock perch here and the cliff effect. My only super minor rec would be maybe to shift the subject and perch down and right in frame just a scooch.

    Otherwise, bang-on nice job!

Beautiful I like the tones in the image. It works very well.

May be a bit more room on the top.

    This is lovely Will.
Great pose, clean perch and lovely BG.
I think Brian's suggestion re: crop are spot on the money.
There is a bit of the "dreaded pixellation" in the BG but not much you can do about it. I bet the TIFF and full res JPEG look great,
