    Default Eta blown hunter...

As concentration is focused on a juicy young iguana on nearby bush. Laid down with lens poking between slats on boardwalk as Eta's winds hit this hunter from behind. Obvious late day cloud cover gave soft light and natural color saturation. Just after this frame, the head began to shake signaling the imminent strike. Didn't confuse the iguana as it shot for safety deep inside the bush.

    David:

The framing and angle really plays out the scale of the bill. Nicely exposed . Background with just enough detail to provide a sense of depth. I might try a version with a bit more room on the left.

I would clone out two twigs right next to the bill. Rest looks fine to me.

nice head shot, a slight turn towards us would have been ideal. I'd sharpen it a bit more

    A good solid portrait.
Agree with Randy re: more room on left,

Hi David, good portrait, nice pure background. The colors look good, maybe a tad more sharpening as Ari suggested. Watch the white cheek on these birds, I think there is more detail available if not clipped in the RAW file. Thank you for sharing.
