    Default A final Rusty Blackbird

This is my favorite one of the recent bunch. I liked it so much that I 'cheated' and added a touch of canvas at the top.

Zero action, but frame is mostly about color!

LIQUID GOLD Dorian, I love it! I adore rusty blackbirds and these are the best images so Rock on! Lovely POV, details, pose, colors, and gorgeous FG and BG... A couple of things: maybe a small dust spot mid left above the water break, and i am wondering what the light teal color is under the birds bottom feathers? Thanks

Thanks Ann! I also noticed the light teal thingy you did; it's in the original file and must come from some sort of background/reflection effect behind the bird. Cheers!

Remarkably beautiful capture, Dorian. Interesting feather patterns brought out so vividly in the exceptional light. Great low point of view, and like his thigh deep stance in the water.

nice light and iridescent colors, great details too. I like the calm water. the only way to improve this is with a more dynamic pose like an open beak or stretched wings

Nice work Dorian. Great POV, love the gold color, good techs, etc. What's not to like?

I'm not sure how you could've gotten better surroundings to show off this stunner. With your eye and skills you took full advantage. PMP TFS

Equally as good as the others. This one shows of more iridescence I think, which is really cool.

As Ann mentioned, there are a few dust specs to the right and just under the rump that would be a quick and effective step IMO on this silky smooth canvas.

    Nicely done as usual Dorian.

Superb as is. Action is nice but so is beauty in its simplest form.

Where and when? I barely know this species. Is this a first year male?
