    300mmf4 & MC 1.4 (=841mm equivalent)
    ISO 800, 1/250sec, f8

    Nice detail and colours Jon, love the cobwebs as additional interest. The HA works, but perhaps a tad/fraction more to camera. Still think a 7x5 works with less above and less to the RHS, it removes some of the BKG work too.

    Cool looking bird. The red patches on the rear are a nice touch.

    Agree 100% with Steve. Top and RHS feel empty as is. Excellent detail on the face though!

    The empty space was deliberate, it seems to be quite liked by some but less so with other people.
    I just think the negative space isn't working compare to below, the balance is off Jon and I'm playing my Art Directors card here .

    I love the spiderwebs and good detail in the bird. I do wish you had a touch more head turn, but still works. I also agree with Steve about the crop.
