    Default Black-bellied Plover

Got this one out on SF Bay yesterday. Hella stoked with the full upstroke. Black axillaries (armpits) diagnostic
for this species even in this non-breeding plumage, so it's always nice to see those.

This is a heavy crop (25% of original frame), but I think the detail held up well.

Processed in LR CC. Nothing cloned. Did a bit of local exposure adjustment on bird's flank. Otherwise just standard sliders.

Just a wee bit too much crop Dorian....The bird looks a wee bit softer than your usual IQ...but I do love the flight pose and the blues in the BG.

Dorian, considering a large crop it's pretty decent. Still some detail but certainly quite short of what would be present if the ratio of crop/full were inverse.

The warm lit whites on blue are always nice and no different here.

Beautiful work Dorian, I'd be stoked too! I especially like the axillary feathers... Lovely colors and enough details for me

nice wing positions and BG, looks sharp enough to my eye. if anything I'd preferred the bird slightly angled towards

Well it looks quite good for the large crop. How many megapixels would this be 5 or 6? Looks very streamlined. I like the blue water background.
