Default Gold Medal worthy Rusty Blackbird?

I gave you the full-body view of this bird last time, so here's a hella detailed headshot to complement it.

Cant beat her eye (this is a female in winter plumage)!

indeed gold medal worthy!!! No WD-40 needed here. love the individual gold feathers against the black and yes the eye is mesmerizing. Again BG colors compliment beautifully. Super

Dorian, in terms of portrait this is a stunner in my book.

Great, intense stare and details for days. The sunlight pops off of the gold indeed.

One thing my eyes were drawn to was the crest of the bill as it goes over the horizon. The white/blue line almost presents as a halo. It's a super minor nit but might be worth taking a glance and seeing if it's there in the raw and if you have any wish to maybe mask or stamp it.

    Beautiful man, really nicely done!

Really superb details Dorian. When you look at the bird really close like this and the other photo, something special not just a drab bird. That eye is really striking. TFS

A pleasing shot, looks good. In view of your pursuit of a gold medal I would suggest have a look at the pupil to see if you could get a hint of structure or detail. I don't know if any would be forthcoming but certainly worth looking.

Fab frame Dorian....The 'bronzy' colours I love. Nice detail and HA...BG is perfect for the frame.
