    Default Eastern Meadowlark

We went to Joe Overstreet Road in Kenansville, Florida to photograph the Scissor-tailed Flycatchers. We saw the flycatchers but none close enough for photography. I captured image a a couple Eastern Meadowlarks along the road. I guess some viewers will not like the barbed wire but that is what the birds choose. The hairs on the wire is from cattle brushing against it. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Great calling pose, Joe and sharp detail. Cattle hair adds to the image, and very nice background. Love those feet.

Love the pose, perch and perch adornments. Not to mention the dreamy BG. TFS

Singing pose and gripping feet are great, but the face looks really grayed to me. Looks like it was hot and too much recovery applied. Wire is no-go for me, but everyone is different on that issue....

Great pose and I am okay with the wire, Meadowlarks love them. It does seem the bottom part of the beak is a bit hot, but detail on bird is terrific.

Very nice Joe, just kill the blue and the legs & wire will look natural.

Hi Steve, thank you for viewing and commenting. Regarding the blue, global, local or white balance adjustment? Which do you think would be best?
