    Default Bee on firebush...

I was sitting and waiting for the hummers when I thought of Jonathon and went for a few bees. This beauty landed on a firebush blossom not even 2 meters to my left. That close at 700mm obliterated the blossoms and leaves and left this feeding pollinator.

David - well done, not the easiest of subjects to get sharp. At this magnification DOF is very limited and I appreciate it is easy for me to suggest shooting side on as it were would have given a better viewpoint, I suspect it was not practicable to move as your primary target was the hummers. I like the bright colours - very eye catching. I am looking forward to seeing some more macro images from you.

Neat to see the pollen bunched up on the leg. That red and green go great together.

Interesting angle of the bee. I like the composition - the bee framed by the two leaves. The bright colors of the flower bring in attention to the bee.
