    Default Snowy Egret with catch

It always amazes me how much work/energy/calories go into catching such a small fish. I think this guy burned more calories catching him than the little fish could provide for him.

Love the light and this beauty pops off the blackground. HA saved by the hunting and water action. TFS

Gail, very pretty as was the prior frame. The dipping action is really nice and subject was processed well on the dark bkg. I actually had to look 3-4 times at the whole image before I noticed the fish in mouth.

Composition is solid. Wish for a little more toward-camera direction here but otherwise a nice one!

Cool! Again the white on dark is very nice, and provides extra drama for an already dramatic scene. The fish and water action is superb. I do feel the oof vegetation line cutting across the image is unfortunate, but more than likely unavoidable. I looked at this for a long time...that is how much fun this frame is!

He is more past me than walking away from me but I know what you mean. I was hoping the good view of the face would salvage the image...

I like the light and the action, the angle not so much....

A dramatic image for sure Gail, but agree sadly, on the angle, but the impact/drama is still there. Again, even with an sRGB file there is truck loads of detail to pullout Gail, well worth revisiting the raw IMHO.

Great job of getting the eye sharp. Bad luck (or wind direction) on the bird angling away from you.
