    Nice low POV.
    Crop a bit tight behind the gadwall.
    Also wish that the tail was not in the shadow.

    Yes to a little more behind but the wonderful sidelight helps lead the eye to the face. Another great use of shadowed BG. TFS

    I agree with the above, and the image also needs some CW rotation. The dangling vegetation is good, and details galore!

    Hi Dan, nice image of a Gadwall. As Gail mentioned it is unfortunate that the tail is in the deep shadows, the light on the rest of the bird is wonderful. Sharp feather detail, nice piece of vegetation in the mouth. Thank you for sharing.
