Taken the same day as the Palm Warbler I posted previously. A fun explosion of fall colours for the warblers! It was also neat to have them forage down low at eye-level.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1250s., f/5.6, ISO 1600, natural light, handheld, about 80% FF, cleaned up the eye, and patched a couple of imperfections on the leaves.

Nice alert pose with great eye contact, good detail where it matters. BG busy but effectively showing the fall setting.

This is a really beautiful look at this bird. We don't have fall in California, so I'm envious of the foliage in this frame. Focus on the eye is great and creates a nice fall-off effect across the body. This is one of the few times when I don't think a clean background would have helped the image - at all. Noise levels look great; being close helps!

Daniel, you've captured some stunning colors recently.

The yellow against the pinks and oranges are very pleasing to the eye.

Would've been great had the stem not cut through the rear portion of the head but I find the subject brings you in enough to make it work.
