    Hi all,
Been back to the same location quite a few times in order to get a closeup of the Great Crested Grebes there. So far they all prefer to be much too far away, and when they do get closer they swim away as soon as you move closer to them...even at a snail's pace! However...I recently "stalked" this one for an hour, waiting/hoping it would get closer to me whilst I positioned myself on the ground. I took a number of shots, but luckily it decided to raise up for this pose. Cheers.

Paul, is that steam coming up? Great job being patient... it's a grind some days.

Interesting pose. Action looks pretty decent and it's sharp so that's great.

I am getting a blue/green tint color cast on both monitors. Perhaps take a glance and see what you think?

Yes to a bluish/cyan cast to the whites. The action is great. Bummer that the bird looked to its left at the moment of exposure rather than to its right.

    with love, artie

Thanks so much Brian and Artie. Yes...I see the cast now. Hopefully now fixed.
Brian: it's not steam, not sure, but it's in the raw file. I had to walk round the other side of the lake, meaning I was shooting into the sun, but the sun went in for this shot. As I darkened down the water a little in post it's more noticeable.

Artie: Yes to the "bummer" head angle....maybe next time! Cheers.
