Not many Red Grouse showing at this time of the year, but these Pheasants sure look good in their Autumn plumage. Handheld from the vehicle...ACR and PS 2020

Gorgeous portrait of this pheasant. Love those colors around the face/eye. Feather detail looks very nice as well. Nice background. Framing is right on.

Great subject, Beak is very nice. I might selectively clarify the Eye.

Will, beautiful. You're getting some very sharp and colorful portraits lately!

Background color gradient is lovely, exposed and composed well.

    TFS!

    Will:

I grew up with these guys in Iowa, a fixture in the farm fields and along fence rows. Sadly, in Michigan very rare. Saw my first rooster in 20 years about two weeks ago.

So, having said all that, this photo really brings back strong memories. Techs are fine, great color range, some fine color harmony with the background.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
