    Captured this image yesterday as the sun was just about to drop below the nearby forest at one of my favorite local grasslands. C&C welcome.


    D500, 500mm PF + 1.4 TC, 1/320s, F/8.0, Handheld, ISO 1250.

    Hi Geoffrey,
    very nice image, good eye contact with the bird and the sparrow is nice and sharp. I like the simplicity of the canes and bits of leaves on top. Very nice BG. I could see the exposure being lifted maybe a bit. Nice work!

    Good find. Congratulations. Not one of the normal visitors to the local grassland. Nice pose, detail, background. I would probably have taken out the oof leaves on top.

    Thanks Ann. It gets a bit challenging when I want to keep the light as close to what it actually was simultaneously keep the temperature / definition in place without going too light or dark.
