A sloth bear on the rocky hillocks of Hampi, in Karnataka. Wished for a catch light here but I liked the pose he/she gave.

Hi Sanjeev, like you the pose is awesome, she gave you a great showing, she must love the camera!!!

Like the framing although a the image may benefit from fraction more below, less above? I might reduce the blue and add some Clarity/Dehaze or midtone, just to add a bit more oomph to the overall image, but be careful as both CL & DH will ramp up sharpening because both are a form of Contrast sharpening.

    Hello Sanjeev,

Whew, our Sloth Bear is getting closer with every image, wondering what's next

Really glad you shot this wider because I like seeing the environment. For me subject looks well positioned within the frame, and great timing Sanjeev, pose is fantastic. Love the open mouth and body language - was he roaring while charging, I want to know more!

And I am sure you can improve the appearance of the Bear if you follow Steve's suggestions, just remember to be gentle in order to avoid things becoming crunchy or harsh. Don't mind the lack of catchlight - but if you want to and ethics permit, you can add it

Thank you so much for sharing and have a great rest of the week,

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Well you got your money's worth with these sloth bears. Neat to see the bear amongst all those big rocks. I like the framing. Nice view of those claws.

I like the bear, its pose and position, details are good but I would be inclined to consider some luminosity masks along with a little blending, I would tone down his muzzle - get more detail. The background is ok but I would apply curves and possibly add a slight vignette at the top. It may sound a little critical but I am only suggesting relatively small changes and I think the bear would then look even more impressive.
I only got a brief glimpse of a sloth bear when I was in India and that was pretty exciting, your encounters must have been really memorable.

Loved the Pose. You are coming up with better images of Sloth Bear with each passing day. Wonder how many wonderful moments you had with them ? Really enjoying the series.

Liked the overall scene, the rocks especially. Loved the open mouth and details are far better than all of the postings thus far.

    Very nicely done, TFS !
