    I captured this image of a Anhinga at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. The bird was perched grooming it's feathers stopping to make a gurgling sound in between feather care. Not sure why Anhinga make that sound but the males always seem to do it when perched. Sometimes if you mimic the sound they will do it in return. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED, camera and lens supported by a monopod
    1/1600 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV +2/3 ISO 1000 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 400mm
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2020 and Neat Image for noise reduction when needed

    Nice calling pose and good details and clean BG. The feathers on the beak is a nice touch.

    This one is a winner for me Joe, great composition, IQ, and the feathers on top are terrific! i always liked how blocky/angular their mouth was when opened, also like the spots of white feathers on the neck. Aces!
