    Default black-capped chickadee

chickadees are very fast little birds that don't waste a fraction of a second perched en route to the bird feeder. They are all about "grab and go!" I positioned the feeder near this beautiful but invasive porcelain-berry vine and finally met my challenge. Looks like the chickadee is in a feather change process as indicated by the white/grayish body feathers.

Love the hint of orange in the BG. The perch is wonderful and I like how it meanders through the frame.
Chickadee is sweet with good IQ. I am impressed that you managed a tack sharp shot at 1/640- as you say, these guys never stop moving.
I find the centered position OK but would prefer to see the chickadee off center towards the left side. Likely, this was not possible because of the placement of the berries and leaves.
Love those berries! A very pretty frame!

Thank you Gail, I agree with the preference of not having the chickadee in the middle but theres another branch and so it goes...

    Ann, gorgeous frame.

Bird looks great. Nice view of the subject and the buff flanks tie in nicely with the branch and foliage. Berries definitely add interest and the bkg is lovely.

    All around great shot!

Wonderful capture, Ann. Great perch, and lovely background. Fine detail enhanced by that spectacular light. Nice eye contact as well.

Wow, those berries look great!! Nice setting overall. Bummer the chickadee had molting feathers around the eye, but a super fun frame you got here!
