I was working in my garden and had my camera set up nearby. I made my move when i saw the molting goldfinch pop against the invasive oriental bittersweet vine. I was so surprised when in the viewfinder this gray catbird landed next to the finch without any disturbance. I was able to fire off a few shots...

Almost full frame, de-noised, and sharpened. The BG are evergreens.

Just stellar Ann. A beauty with two species including a shy (in our area at least) Catbird.

The dramatic bkg and color pop with the berries is so nice. Catching them both IF at f5.6 too, wow.

    Well done!

    Well done GF!
Two tack sharp birds and different species to boot!
Love the red berries against the dramatic dark BG.
Best part is the size difference between the 2 birds.

This is wonderful, Ann. Not only two species, but they are both checking you out. Love the perch, and the light is spectacular.

What wonderful juxtaposition. Right place, right time, right skills to capture it. Nicely done.

Really nice frame here. Really shows the size difference between the two birds. The dark background is nice as well.
