Another view, same grassland as previous post, slightly brighter. Late afternoon on 9/28/20. I liked the look back pose. C&C welcome.

Hi Geoffrey, the look back is nice but i find the head a bit soft... The weeds seem a bit overpowering and in competition with each other, my eye keeps going upper right and my brain keeps saying "don't photo bomb!" I also want to say your other bobolink images were terrific... TFS

    I really like this.
Love the perch and the look back pose.
I do think you could increase exposure by half a stop and decrease the magenta slightly.
I am loving your bobolink series!

    Like this a lot...
Not a lot of Bobolink photos, I like the muted colors and the pose.

Nice image, Geoff. Beautiful bird, pure background. Detail and color of the bird looks really good. I guess I would wish that the vegetation in front was in focus but that is minor. Thank you for sharing,

Geoffrey, I like the image but I think the bird is not showing quite enough detail, is the eye bang on focus??? If it is then I feel there should be better detail.

Thanks Jonathan. I just looked again at the original NEF file, and no the eye is not bang on focus.
