    Default Frosty White (Bladder) Campion

    It froze last night here and the whole park was frosty.
    Canon 7DII + 180/3.5 + Tripod
    f/22, 1/20, ISO 800
    ACR for Raw conversion, PSCC. Two small oof leaves on either side of the stem removed. The background (Wild Burdock leaf) darkened to reduce its impact.

    Beautiful. Always a treat to see the first frost coat everything. Framing is nice. Depth of field is good as well. The dark background makes the flower stand out nicely.

    Black background works well.
    I could have raised the luminosity of whites to elevate the subject

    I like the image as presented, I appreciate the thought you put into this image. I would imagine if you increased luminosity you would tend to lose detail (??), I like the hint of detail in the background.

    Yes. I tried to increase the luminosity on the petals, but the details got lost and the some parts were blown, so this was the optimum luminosity I could get.
