Getting this Townsend's solitaire on the right perch and bkg was not the easiest. I think it thought it was in fact playing with me.

Would have wished it would be on this side of the juniper but take what it gave me. Does it bother you?

In case you're wondering the bkg is the rock formation at Red Rocks Ampitheater.

Another sweet one. For me, the framing is perfect as is the light and the singing pose. Audio?

Great singing pose, good detail; and the perch is nice. Sure, in a perfect world he would have been on this side of the perch but looks fine as is. I thought the background was a red barn.

    Love the BG colors.
Yes, to having him perched on the other side but I would take this in a heartbeat.
    Comp is good too!

Ticks my box Brian, looks like Contrast and sharpening are spot on.

Yeah, that BG is incredible. Perch is super interesting, and the bird is as sharp as you can get. My only issue is minor; as birder, the bird's long tail is a key field mark, so I'd like to see more of it. But this is about perfect from a photographic standpoint.

To have such positive feedback from a great group of accomplished photographers is a blessing.

Thank you everyone for the feedback.

Artie - yes played audio off and on but finally captured this one in a perch I had seen it come back to several times. Not sure it mattered.

Dorian - agreed. I do have another I'll process of full dorsal view showing the whole bird but only wish is to see more of the tail here.

Very nice. That background is to die for, love that color. Everything looks spot on. Nice one.
