I went to Lake Morton in Lakeland, Florida early this morning. Overcast, dim light early not really good for clean images. On the way back to the car ths overcast had brightened and I found this Great Blue Heron perched at the lake edge. Sitting in the wet grass I shared a visit with this bird. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Classic pose Joe, nice details, the clean backdrop adds some nice separation.

A nice pose from this great blue. The framing is right on. Nice background as well. Nice detail on the bird.

    Hi Joe,

Nice you took some time to sit with this beauty. Like the soft light and the relaxed pose.

A good classic pose from this species. A bit of "ghosting" along the top of the head. Perhaps a touch tight above. I think you had room to stop down for the wing, but looks good overall nonetheless, with good details and colours.
