Default Female Red-brested Merganser w/ Young

    1dm3 on 500mm - handheld from canoe - iso400, TV at 1/800 , f 5.6, comp. 0 - Just back from a week in northern Vermont - work, family and photography - priceless!!!
In search of Loon family captures my guide Maxine (priceless Wife who loves to paddle the canoe !) sees this family at 11o'clock low. There were 5 little ones but they were spread out at this frame. Bob Malbon

Nice family portrait and similar head angles. I find the BG a bit distracting and would try to remove the branch crossing the the face of the one on the right. You could also crop a bit off the bottom. Look forward to seeing more images of your trip.

Good find by your wife! Nice family portrait, the low angle is superb. I also like the habitat you (she) found them in. I would crop the bottom to above the lower white blob. Also could use some CCW rotation. If it is within your ethics digitally removing the twigs in front of the chick's face should be easy.

Very good head angles and well handled exposure. Another vote for cropping off the bottom.

Lovely image. I'm also with the rest of the "crop from the bottom"-ers. Also, please keep in mind that images should be no larger than 200KB, even when linked via a third party. Thanks!
