    Default Standing On The Sidelines

This was taken in late May when the royal terns were courting. As is often the case there is one standing on the sidelines wondering why it was passed over. I did not realize that I had captured that moment until I got home. Alower angle would have been preferrable but time did not permit. and I did not want to lose this action.

I guess it would be nice if the two wings didn't overlap but, for my money, it is almost perfect. Love the side view, we don't see these birds on our shore.

Very nice action, Judy, wish you could separate the eyes from the mask a little more.Always a problem with Terns and Skimmers, unless the sun gets them a certain way.

Great interaction and exposure control in what looks like rather harsh light.

Great exposure and poses, although the light looks a bit harsh i like it, what I would' ve loved is a lower angle. Congrats and thanks for sharing!

Like the courtship behavior. Good exposure control. Maybe it's the brazen display of cleavage that's getting her all the attention. :D
