    Here's another from Estero Llano Grande on a grey day in November, 2017. Full frame. Not a bird that we get at home in NJ. They have beautiful feather pattern, maybe on a par with our Gadwalls. I like the toenails from the left foot protruding from under the wing.

    D500, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 2000, 1/400s @ f/6.3 manual. SB-700 fill @ -1.0 EV.

    This is rather nice for a rather plain duck.
    I really like the pop of green on the LHS from the grasses and I like how the trunk curves and runs parallel to the body.
    IQ looks good.

    I like how the log frames the bird. Could call on keeping those grasses on the left.
