    The most endangered bird that is endemic to Florida, the Florida Scrub Jay suffers from loss of habitat as 1000 people a week move to Florida. A few areas of the scrub habitat that this bird needs has been set aside, the largest being in Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. This image was captured at Helen and Alan Cruickshank Sanctuary in Rockledge, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED, camera and lens supported by a monopod
    1/2500 F/8 Matrix Metering EV +1 ISO 2500 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 220mm
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic. Photoshop CC 2020 and Neat Image for noise reduction when needed.

    Love the curious pose, BG, details and colors. Perch could be toned down a tad. TFS

    A nice pose on the jay. I love the colors on the bird. The perch is not bad.
