The framing is right on. I like the interaction as well. The chick looks sharper than the bird.

The adult looks the sharper of the two to me, I think you could improve the chick at the raw stage by bringing the luminosity down on the cheek and bill,having said that I think it is a very pleasing image, nicely framed, the colours are just maybe a little saturated/too much vibrance (greens)??

Lovely frame...great comp...Love the facial expressions...it tells the story. I would try sharpening both heads.
