Now that's a pose. Great view of upper and lower wings with excellent detail and the squawk is killer. Man, squawking so vigorously, had to close membrane. Glad you got this beauty mostly on the blue BG. TFS

This is an absolute beauty Paul. Beautiful wing angle, very sharp and the blue bkg is always so nice on a white subject.

A couple people here told me a long time ago that they instant delete shots with the nictitating membrane over the eye. Then I've seen them post shots with the eye cover here subsequently, so there's an interesting debate there. No matter though, you did great here congrats!

Hi David/Brian. Thanks so much...always appreciate your feedback comments and suggestions. I too am fine with the membrane. Cheers.

Poor bird looks blind. Do you have another frame with the eye open? Agree with all the positives above.

Everything looks good here. Yes the nictating membrane is not ideal. The blue background is nice.

    Default Tern diving eye open

Hi John/Artie. Yes, I had others with the eye open, but they had distracting shadows/poor wing direction/less than sharp eye. Anyhow...here's one that I tried to salvage. Cheers.

Thanks. None with a clear view of the eye with the face square to the sensor?
