    Default Great Black-backed Gull

Captured this image back in March of 2014 on a local lake. There was a tremendous amount of squabbling going on between adult Great Black-backed Gulls, and first winter GBBG. These two seemed to be relatively cooperative in pulling this fish apart, but before long the first winter GBBG swooped in starting a battle for the fish. C&C welcome.

I like the interaction between the two gulls here. The fish is another bonus. I could see some cropped off the top if image quality holds up.

Thanks John. Just after I posted the image I saw it could use some cropping on top.

Geoffrey, nice interaction here and good job on the re-crop. I actually personally like the landscape framing.

The cool gray feel works well with the cool colors on the gulls and you get a nice pop on the bills.

Would have been nice to get a bit more lighting on the face with bird on the left but I like the frame. Nice job!

PS - right as I was about to post the response my eye caught what appears to be a cloning remnant just to the left of the vertical wing on the right most bird.

Well captured Geoffrey....Your images always look so 'natural'...Yes the RP crop for me. Loving the greys throughout the image and the colours on the bill, draws the eye, and gives the image a boost.

    Thanks Brian. No cloning.

    Good interaction shown.
I like the crop on the repost. Must be a water droplet on that wingtip.
    Nice and sharp.
