I captured this one at sunrise, just after the mist had lifted from the water surface. Here the bird is struggling to get a fish out the water, the fish had already pulled the bird under.... He was successful though, and managed to capture breakfast for the juves, in a nest nearby.

Will, all of your Osprey shots are super including this one.

You can feel the struggle story in the frame, the bird being that far under and all. Being at the water line with a very low pov really helped you here I think. Could only maybe ask for a little more dof to blur the bkg from my view.

Overall, really cool frame and I am envious of getting more Osprey shots in my portfolio!

The low angle is bang on. Also like how that wing is displayed. Nice light as well. Overall a nice frame.

Yep, seen them have to swim up and then fly off with heavy cargo. That's some strong wings seen from perfect POV. Love it. TFS

Love this one Will, the ultra low POV works perfect but its the bang on timing that really grabs me here. Wings up, right in the midst of the action, love it!

Not Loch Garten Steve....A small lochan within the grounds of the MadDonald Hotel group in Aviemore. The guy has it well stocked with rainbow trout which have attracted a few of the ospreys nesting in that area. The hide, which you have to be in for 4.30am ish, is sunk into the ground with sunrise coming up behind....On the morning I was there, the temp was just above freezing, which caused the mist (on my previous pics) to hover above the water...This is one, when the mist had just dispersed and the sun was just coming up behind me, hence the colder feel about the image.

Nice low POV. Like the action and how deep he is in the water. Colors and light look excellent. The background is pleasing, yet ideally a little blur would be even better.
