Default A study in Blackburnian diet.

From last week's cottage vacation. Had the chance to photograph this guy with different types of prey, and here he had at least three items to bring back to it's nest. In a perfect world the tuft of needles touching the bird would not be there, but I am quite happy with both our catches.:p

Very cool behavioral image, Daniel. The bird is nicely posed and the background gives a feel for the habitat without being distracting, IMO. I'm guessing - caterpillar, mayfly, and midge. I don't mind the needles touching the bird.

Another keeper here Dan. Is it my imagination of do the fir needles just in front of the bird seem sharper than the prey items? Did he move his head when you created the image?

I like the included habitat, details and the snacks add to it. I might put the bird a tad higher in the frame.

Looks good to me Daniel! Like the included vegetation, and of course the beak full of insects.
