Several days ago while photographing Bobolinks, a few juvenile siblings were enjoying competing, and testing their new skills at catching small flying insects. This particular on was having a heck of a time struggling to stay atop a slender perch. C&C welcome.

Nice one. He does look a little scruffy, with the wind blowing on his back. You can sense his struggle to keep balanced. I think I saw three of these guys chasing each other around the other evening, when Joanne and I took walk there.
I could imagine a version with a little off the bottom and added to the top, but fine as is.
I like it the bird does look a little uncomfortable maintaining position and I like the environment. I would be keen to see a little less contrast in the bird, the background looks fine.
I love the setting, the perch and the little one balancing on that small perch.
The IQ not the best and agree with heat shimmer.
Too bad, because this has a really nice environmental element,
