    Default Bobolink ( Juvenile )

Several days ago while photographing Bobolinks, a few juvenile siblings were enjoying competing, and testing their new skills at catching small flying insects. This particular on was having a heck of a time struggling to stay atop a slender perch. C&C welcome.

Nice one. He does look a little scruffy, with the wind blowing on his back. You can sense his struggle to keep balanced. I think I saw three of these guys chasing each other around the other evening, when Joanne and I took walk there.

I could imagine a version with a little off the bottom and added to the top, but fine as is.

Ditto Bill. Nice grassy habitat depicted. Maybe a bit of heat shimmer going on?

I like it the bird does look a little uncomfortable maintaining position and I like the environment. I would be keen to see a little less contrast in the bird, the background looks fine.

I like the way the bird is balancing on that perch. A typical setting for these guys. Nice pose. Yes maybe some heat shimmer here.

Thanks everyone. Daniel, and John, (on second look I'm not quite seeing what you are), it was a hot and humid afternoon.

I love the setting, the perch and the little one balancing on that small perch.
The IQ not the best and agree with heat shimmer.
Too bad, because this has a really nice environmental element,
