It's pretty straightforward getting them in the frame but getting them in the plane of focus can be frustrating and inevitably the ones with the best pose are usually on the edge of the frame or overlapped or the head not quite in focus. I have left a couple of fragments of fat ball flying around, some images are full of it!

Another great interaction, Jonathan. Beautiful sharp details where it matters. Just a fine background also. Keep them coming.

Love the DOF on this one. With that squawking head. Another great interaction from you. TFS

Another cracker Jon...So good to see this. Love the head angle and facial expression on the top bird. If you could capture an adult in flight in nice sunlight...that would be the 'one'.

    Well done

Wow! Such a great action shot! Sharp, well processed and a great BG. I must admit though, if it were mine I would hit those white specks with the healing tool in PS. Looking forward to more of these style shots Jonathan. Cheers.

Another great battle frame. You have these nailed now. Love the pose on the top bird.

Nice work Jon... as you wrote to get them both in the same plane is all but impossible but this is about as good as it gets. Nice colors and tones with a wonderful background. Thank you for sharing.

Love it! 2 sharp birds in the same frame and the HA's are good on both birds.
I wonder how much F7.1 would have helped you to get the upper bird's legs in focus? Probably would still be too shallow DOF.
Nonetheless, a pretty cool image with a good crop and BG,
    Gail
