    John, this is a fine portrait. That eye is almost hypnotizing, wow.

    The crop is great from my angle and the lighting is superb. No nits to offer.

    Handsome gull despite the non-breeding plumage. That eye! well done on the details and the whites. F/8 was perfect here too.

    Wow that's a stunner! Like everyone else the eye really got my attention, super shot, it is often said that the common birds are most frequently overlooked, I am glad you didn't miss this one.
