Taken in Iceland last summer. I really liked the colored BG here which is a high cliff at oceans edge with various vegetation. I liked dof for getting the feet in focus but lost the complete freeze of the wing tips...

Ann, what more to say on this one other than superb!?

One of the most photogenic birds, in flight, with food in mouth and a super pleasing bkg.

    Keep em coming!

    Ann:

Excellent framing, fish, classic 'earnest' look of the puffin, the orange feet really pop off the BG.

I might consider some very minimal clone stamp work over the darkest areas of the background. I really like the sense of depth the background provides, but might tweak the dark spot behind the bill and the upper right hand corner. Personal taste really.

    Good to see you posting.

These beauties always look like they are falling in flight. Nice details and I love the BG as is. Maybe a touch brighter overall, though I love this canvas as is. TFS

A fine puffin flight frame. Neat how that left wing curls up. I don't mind the background.

Super shot Ann, exposure and details look great, the slight angle improves presentation, well done.

Never an easy shot to get, they are so quick in the air. Even better given the flight angle towards you and the full beak. Top marks from me

Great Puffin flight shot, with a nice background that's a bit different from the norm for the species. No one else mentioned it so I'm probably all wet, but for me a touch of selective sharpening on head and fish would not be amiss.

Very nice. I love the incoming flight path, and of course the fish. Beautiful BG overall, but I could see the dark spot just above the wingtip kinda toned down a bit. The glowing feet are wesome!
