I captured this image in the back garden, the butterfly is backlit with sunlight, - just trying to capture something a little different. The flower is verbena or purple top, it is a really good attractant for bees and butterflies.

Jon - you are really getting good at these flight shots! You nailed the focus on the head and the butterfly's partly uncurled proboscis adds interest. The dark areas in the ULC are drawing my eye. If mine, I would clone over them at low opacity (e.g. 40%) to make them less distinct. Very nicely done!
Love the flight image. Backlighting makes it more interesting. focus is right on the eye. Agree with Steve on the dark areas. colors of the flower are complementary to the background.
